Art is in Us All – a Firefly Fields Poem

As we kick back and exhale this marvelous and miraculous year of 2018, and reflect on yet another period of time that comes to a close before another one commences… we share with you our art. Art is in everyone and in all things, in every day and in every life. And with Firefly Fields, we see it everywhere on the land, in the sky, on the farm, in the animals, within in our hearts and practices, and in our people that contribute to the growth and cultivation of delicious, artisanal, organic foods that feed our very life-forces within. Art inspires us to be solemn and reverent, to share, to create, to give, to bring joy, and more… It’s one of the greatest gifts, we are so thankful to share with each other, the land, and the peace it brings. With that we share a little poem from our farm to your heart. <3

 

A Firefly Fields Poem

Be the light in the night

Be the light to shine so bright

Blink alone then blink together

Become a force that withstands the weather

Drifting and floating across the field

Thoughtful, abundant, increasing yield

Keep it simple, and keep it clean

You were born to make things lean

In synchrony your patterns amaze

Across the field your story ablaze

Be gentle, be reverent

Be kind, be true

The land, this table, this food is for all

Together we sustain it, or together we let it fall

Your story doesn’t start or end in an instant

It’s a series of chirps, blips, and persistence

Just as the light you inspire

May you never tire

Steadfastly you remain a constant, little light in the field
